Closing Bayside City
Hi Baysiders,
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to officially step away from running Bayside City and will be closing this chapter. This wasn’t an easy decision, but at this point, I feel it’s the right one.
When I first started Bayside, my goal was to create a thriving, immersive space for the community. While I’ve loved building and shaping the city, keeping it active and maintained at the level I’d want requires more time and energy than I can realistically commit. Over the past few months, I’ve considered different options for dividing leadership via city managers, admins and mods, but ultimately, the interest in managing, moderating, and growing the city hasn’t been strong enough to move forward in that direction.
With that in mind, rather than keeping the city in a dormant state, I’ve decided to bring this project to a close. I appreciate everyone who has been a part of Bayside, whether as a resident, business owner, or visitor. Thank you for making it what it was during its most active times!
I want to sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support you’ve given us and the memories we share here. I hope to see many of you around in other spaces.
The city will be open for another week or so. There are just a couple people with rentals that extend past our closure so for those with 3+ weeks on their rentals, please submit a ticket.
Wishing you all the best,
Meela
