About Us: We are an active and vibrant Second Life role play community committed to creating immersive and engaging experiences for our members. Our community is driven by creativity, collaboration, and mutual respect. We are seeking a dedicated Community Leader to guide and inspire our members, foster a positive environment, and oversee community development and growth.
Responsibilities:
• Community Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the community, outreach and promotion of the city. Managing the city’s budget, fundraising and allocation of funds.
• Community Development: Oversee the development and growth of role play in the city, ensuring various areas of role play are active and engaging for the community.
• Leadership and Guidance: Act as a role model and leader for the community, providing support and guidance to members, staff, and role players. Mentor new members and help them integrate into the community.
• Event Coordination: Determine the level of engagement for the city. Plan and oversee community events, meetings, and role-playing activities to ensure they align with community goals and provide meaningful engagement opportunities for members.
• Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with community members through in-world announcements, forums, and group messages. Address community concerns and feedback promptly and constructively.
• Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes and conflicts within the community in a fair and impartial manner. Work closely with role play admins and moderators to enforce rules and ensure community harmony.
• Policy Development: Collaborate with community leaders and staff to develop, update, and enforce community rules, guidelines, and policies that reflect the community’s values and goals.
• Recruitment and Training: Assist in recruiting and training new staff members, including role play admins and moderators. Ensure staff are well-equipped to handle their roles and responsibilities.
• Community Growth and Development: Develop strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones, fostering a growing and engaged community. Monitor community trends and interests to ensure the community evolves in line with member needs. • Reporting: Regularly report to the community founders or governing body on community status, member feedback, and any issues that need addressing.
Requirements:
• Extensive experience in Second Life, particularly in role play communities.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing virtual communities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate members.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to handle disputes fairly and constructively.
• A passion for role-playing, storytelling, and community-building in a virtual environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Assist Players: Provide support and assistance to players with questions or concerns related to role-playing, character development, and community integration.
• Enforce Community Rules: Apply community rules fairly and consistently, issuing warnings or taking corrective actions when necessary to maintain a respectful environment.
• Encourage Participation: Actively encourage participation in role-playing events and activities, supporting players in creating and advancing their storylines.
• Report and Document Issues: Document and report any rule violations, disputes, or concerns to the Role Play Admin or community leaders.
